License to Construct One Home

Drawings are protected by copyright and are the intellectual property of Achlab, LLC (“Licensor”). The purchaser of the house plan set (“Licensee”) is granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the drawings, specifications, and related design data (collectively, the “Instruments of Service”) solely for the purpose of constructing one (1) single-family residence at a single site.

These drawings are not site-specific and must be adapted for construction in compliance with local building codes; therefore, they must be reviewed by a licensed professional engineer or architect in the jurisdiction of construction prior to permitting. 

Achlab, LLC assumes no responsibility for the construction, fabrication, or code compliance of projects built from these documents. All responsibility for use, modification, and permitting remains solely with the Licensee.

All copyright and ownership of these Instruments of Service remain the property of Achlab, LLC. No portion may be copied, sold, assigned, or reused for additional dwellings without written authorization from Achlab, LLC. 

Any additional use, including reproduction, resale, modification, or construction of more than one dwelling, without written authorization from Achlab, LLC is strictly prohibited and constitutes a violation of federal copyright law. Constitutes infringement under U.S. Copyright Law and may subject the Licensee to damages and legal fees.

This license does not include rights to use the drawings as the basis for derivative works, marketing, or publication, in whole or in part.
